Visual Electric is the first professional grade AI design tool. Our product enables designers, creative directors, art directors and marketers to bring their vision to life in seconds. We are designers, creative technologists, engineers, and machine learning experts backed by some of the best investors in the world. Our mission is to build a camera for your mind.
We have raised $5MM led by Sequoia, Box Group, Designer Fund, Otherwise Fund and angel investors including Soleio Cuervo, Lachy Groom, Gentry Underwood, Andy Allen, Koen Bok, and Jorn van Dijk.
Meet the founders
- Colin Dunn (CEO) is an entrepreneur, designer, and product builder who has been working on productivity and creation tools for over 10 years. Most recently he led the brand and product design orgs at Universe, a mobile website builder. Prior to that he was Head of Product Design at Playspace (acq. by Google), an all-in-one video conferencing app. He has also worked at Facebook, Dropbox, and Pentagram.
- Adam Menges (CPO) is a 2× acquired founder and has been working on machine learning and design tools for over 10 years. He co-founded Lobe (acq. by Microsoft), a visual design tool that allows anyone to train their own machine learning model. He also cofounded Lowkey (acq. by Niantic), an AR game company. Prior to that he worked at Apple on various prototypes using machine learning as their core.
- Zach Stiggelbout (CTO) is a multi-disciplinary engineer specializing in user interfaces and machine learning applications. He worked at Microsoft on Lobe, a visual design tool that allows anyone to train their own machine learning model. Prior to that, he co-founded Arc Reactor, an engineering/design studio, and worked at the University of Washington on human interfaces for surgical robots.
About the role
As Operations Manager, you will oversee all company operations. You will report directly to Colin Dunn, the CEO. You will have high visibility into company decision making and access to information. Initially this will be a generalist role that includes operations, human resources, executive assistance, studio management, and social media marketing. As the company scales, you will have an opportunity to specialize. Some examples of things you will be doing:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of our Sausalito studio
- Manage our recruiting pipeline
- Onboard new hires
- Attend executive meetings and take notes
- Organize and plan team dinners and events
- Schedule team and executive meetings
- Organize and plan business travel
- Manage social media accounts
- Ensure team members have what they need to do their best work
- Create moments of surprise & delight for the team
- Fill in the gaps where needed
